Congratulations to Amy Holloway, CPF for taking home FIRST PLACE at the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) Gulf Coast Chapter Local Competition! This allowed Amy to enter the PPFA International Competition, the grand finale of chapter level competitions, which took place in January 2012 in Las Vegas. Out of the 33 qualified entries, Amy took home a ribbon for the HIGH POINT FIRST TIME ENTRY as well as FIRST HONORABLE MENTION.
“I was so surprised and honored to have won at the chapter level and really excited to have been recognized internationally,” says Amy.
All the participants framed the same digital photograph reproduction, “Fall Leaf/Blue Sky” by artist Linda Sutton. Amy’s entry included a de-bossed leaf design on the top mat using a computerized mat cutter. Her design revolved around the contrast of textures
and the use of negative space. Entries are judged on the overall design and the expertise of their construction and craftsmanship.

Amy passed her test and is now Bradley’s newest Certified Picture Framer. We are so very proud of her. The Professional Picture Framers Certification program was developed in the 80’s. Pat was on the original test writing committee.
The test consists of 150 multiple choice questions covering storage of art, choice of framing materials, safe use of equipment, proper conservation techniques and general knowledge of art and objects to be framed. Bradley’s is now proud to serve you with three Master Certified Picture Framers and three Certified Picture Framers.
Amy has been with us for over two years. Her design skills and personal service are superb. She’s ready to help you choose the “perfect” frame.
Celebrating 40 years of art and framing
We have welcomed lots of folks visiting, received lovely heartwarming notes, eaten delicious cake balls, and enjoyed the festive decorations Amy made for the gallery. It’s been a wonderful party. We should do this again … in another 40 years maybe.
